Through the LW400 project, Green Close has commissioned some fantastic artists from around the UK to contribute to the legacy of the project and to the community and education programmes.
Meet the artists
Throughout 2012, look out for original works of art, including poetry from the Poet Laureate, sculptures and site specific perfomances taking place along the LW400 witches walking route from Pendle to Lancaster.
A chance to put faces to names and find more about those involved in the creative responses and community art aspects of LW400, including the artists at Green Close and Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy.
The black and white panels used throughout this site and on the branding for LW400 activity around the region have been created by Sue Flowers. Every picture tells a story.
Various workshops were held this year to create the bricks that will be used as way-markers on the LW400 witches walk, and the paper and batik quilts that will be auctioned off to raise money for Stepping Stones Nigeria in December.
